Khalil J. Walker, a filmmaker who began his journey at the School of Visual Arts, earned a BFA in Film and is currently pursuing an MFA in Film. His recent film, Pass Da Mic, delves into themes of Black vulnerability and culture, while his upcoming project, The Dark City, explores even deeper narratives. A two-time Grant Award Winner, Khalil received a BFA Thesis Film Post-production grant and a Pre-Production Grant. He also won second prize in poetry in the Annual Writing Competition organized by The Match Factory and the School of Visual Arts for the 2023 spring issue.
